About Us
Elliott has always enjoyed riding bikes from a very early age, after eight years of racing motocross he decided to try something new. In 2014 at the age of 16 he started his first full season of racing, competing in the UK Gravity Enduro series ending the year with 2nd overall.
With the support of Chain Reaction Cycles team manager Nigel Page he entered the British Downhill Series race at Llangollen, he surprised us all qualifying 2nd and then going on to take the win. Wanting to see people enjoy their mountain biking as much as he does Elliott took a MIAS coaching course and qualified as a coaching assistant. Working with his friend and qualified coach Conor Martin they set up Ride MTB Coaching.
In 2015 and 2016 he raced the Junior World Cup and the Enduro World Series for Chain Reaction Cycles / Paypal, with podium finishes in the later end of the season he finished 3rd overall in the Junior World Cup Downhill Series and 7th in the U21 catergory of the Enduro World Series. 2017 Elliott now racing for CRC / Mavic took his first EWS U21 win in County Wicklow, Ireland and a couple of top 30 finishes in the Elite class of the Downhill World Cup.
Now as a fully qualified coach he balanced his racing and training with his own group coaching sessions and specifically designed one to one courses. Conor left Ride MTB and with Elliott keen to continue coaching riders of all ages and abilities he asked his younger brother Lewis who like Elliott has also enjoyed riding from a very early age to get involved. So at the age of 16 Lewis qualified as an assistant and become more involved in the coaching sessions.
2018 and Lewis is now fully qualified to take his own coaching courses so whilst Elliott is away competing in races all over the World, Lewis will be able to run all the Rivington based group courses as well as offering one to one courses at Rivington and Farmer Johns MTB Park, Stockport. Obviously this also gives us greater flexibility in offering more courses when Elliott is available.
