Team CRC Mavic at the British National Enduro Champs

Team CRC Mavic riders Elliott Heap and Kelan Grant raced at the British National Enduro Champs over the weekend in Peebles, Scotland, in training for the next Enduro World Series round in Slovenia.

Here’s how the weekend went, according to Elliott Heap:

The organisers at the Tweedlove bike festival put on a great event with some awesome stages. Practice went really well with Kelan in the tight Scottish woods. All the stages were technical, and the lack of trail centre-style stuff made for some great racing.

The first couple of stages I took my time getting into it as I didn’t want to crash and injure myself further (I got wiped out at the 4X in Fort William a week before, injuring my shoulder).

Kelan rode really well on stage one but unfortunately had a huge crash on stage two (I felt sorry for the tree…). On stage four I came around the first corner to see Kelan sat at the side of the track, I was hoping he just had a small issue but unfortunately he’d hit a tree and had to retire from the race with his arm in a sling.

I managed to get down stage four safely and had my best stage finish with a fourth, just behind the local Scottish lads.

I had an awesome day and a brilliant weekend, finishing in sixth place in the elite category. A massive thanks to our mechanic, Ewan Collier, for having my bike running so well and my mum and dad for their support and hospitality. Congratulations to Lewis Buchanan on taking the win.
